GO PREDATORS
It was announced at the Annual General Meeting that the new name of the Guelph Ringette Association will be the 'Guelph Predators'. The GRA looks forward to utilizing their new team name this coming season. GO PREDATORS!

Congratulations to Craig Richardson, Gary Shaw and John Mezenberg, the 2012 receipients of the GRA Award of Appreciation. We would like to Thank them as well as all the other people who were nominated for this award for their continued work that they do to improve the sport of Ringette in our Community.
PROVINCIAL TRYOUTS
Please find tryout times for U14A and U16A. Reminder any player from outside of the Guelph Association must provide a signed tryout release before going on the ice. All ice times will take place at the Hespeler Arenas in Cambridge. Cost is $10 per ice time.

CONGRATUALTIONS TO OUR U14AA-EASTERN CANADIAN RINGETTE CHAMPIONSHIP GOLD MEDALISTS
This past weekend, the Guelph U14AA team represented the Province as Team Ontario at the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships in Mascouche Quebec. The team went undefeated playing teams from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia enroute to winning the Championship.
Congratulations Girls! What an amazing accomplishment. Everyone in the association is very Proud of you all.
3RD ANNUAL GUELPH RINGETTE SUMMER 3 ON 3 TOURNAMENT
We will again be hosting our annual 3 on 3 tournament Sunday August 19 at the University of Guelph, Gryphon Sports Complex beginning at 8:30am runnning until 5:30pm. Cost is $45/player (Bunnys $25).

GUELPH RINGETTE RECREATIONAL RINGETTE
Moms and Dads, have you ever wanted to try out the sport yours kids love to play?
If yes, The Guelph Ringette Rcreational Group is looking for players. If you are interested in learning this great sport, meeting some new friends, and having lots of fun, please come and join us. TWO GUELPH PLAYERS SELECTED TO WESTERN REGION AAA TEAM
The Guelph Ringette Association commends all our Junior and Belle aged players in attendance at the recent Western Region AAA Team Tryouts! GRA is pleased to learn that our own Chelsea Moore and Abigayle Richardson have been selected to the Western Region AAA Team for the 2011 - 2012 season. The six regions in Ontario form Regional All-Star teams every two years. These teams compete amongst themselves in three sanctioned Challenge Cup tournaments leading to participation in the Ontario Winter Games in March 2012.

The Guelph Ringette Association would like to Thank Tim Horton's for their Sponsorship of our U7s with their Timbit Program beginning this year. The Timbit Program is highly recognized in various sports such as hockey and soccer around the area and we are very excited to be included in this fantastic program!
GOALIE EQUIPMENT REBATE
In an effort to promote the commitment to goaltending, the Guelph Ringette Association has introduced a rebate in the amount of $140 for our goalies that are providing their own equipment for the ringette season. VOLUNTEEER HELP NEEDED
As with any volunteer organization, GRA is always in the need for new, enthusiastic volunteers to bring
new energy and ideas to improve the manner in which GRA serves its members, especially our players.
Some of the possible ways you can become more involved in the GRA are becoming a member of our executive,
coaching, refereeing and helping with our annual tournament.
In order to continue to improve GRA and the sport of ringette for you and your child, we need your
support and active involvement. You can help GRA no matter how much or how little time you might have
to contribute. Please contact any member of our executive to discuss how you can help and become a part of this
great group of fun-loving people that dedicate a lot of time to this fantastic sport of ringette.
