COVID-19 Info.

Last Updated: December 13, 2021

Always be informed of the requirements and restrictions imposed by the Federal and Provincial governments, the local Public Health units and the facility you are attending.

GRA COVID-19 PROTOCOLS & REQUIREMENTS

The Guelph Ringette Association is committed to the health and safety of its members - it is our top priority.  Please check this page frequently for updates and all information related to COVID-19 protocols and requirements.

NON-COMPLIANCE

Failure to comply with protocols and requirements will result in participants being restricted from participating in GRA programming, and may face additional penalties as dictated by the Ringette Ontario (RO) Policy on Non-Compliance of COVID Safety Measures.  Local by-law officers may also be requested to attend the site and could issue fines as they deem fit.

MANDATORY SCREENING PROTOCOLS

RAMP APP

All players will be required to fill in both attendance and the screener on the RAMP app.  This is mandatory for contact tracing and is dictated by Ringette Ontario.   Spectators must be added under the ‘Spectator Note’ section in the app for each player.  Adding in a spectator means that they pass the screener as well.  Anyone with COVID symptoms, who has someone at their home with COVID symptoms, or who has been told by Public Health and/or their doctor to stay at home cannot attend our ice times.

Should someone not fill out both the attendance and screener, they are not permitted to attend the ice time and they face additional penalties from the GRA.  The GRA could possibly lose ice contracts if we do not comply with the requirements set out by the facilities for entry.

On top of our own GRA RAMP app, the University of Guelph has their own screener that MUST be filled out.

FACILITY SCREENING

City of Guelph

The City of Guelph has hired security guards to verify vaccine certificates and any exemptions.  Patrons must show their QR code certificate and valid photo ID at the door.  The City of Guelph also requires one family member who is attending the ice to leave the contact details for tracing purposes.

University of Guelph

Use the University of Guelph Screener; there will be a greeter who should be checking the 'green checkmark' that you get when you are done.  This green checkmark is also emailed to you.  The same greeter will verify vaccine certificates and any exemptions.  Patrons must show their QR code certificate and valid photo ID to this greeter.  The University Screener stores your contact information for their contact tracing purposes

VACCINE PASSPORT - QR CODE VERSION

As of December 20, 2021 the Government of Ontario has mandated that youth aged 12 to 17 now have to show a valid vaccination certificate (requires QR Code as of Jan 4 2022) to enter recreational facilities.

As of September 22 the Government of Ontario 'Vaccine Passport' regulations came into effect, where you will be required to show your second dose vaccination receipt to enter the facilities - this is enforced and required by facilities. Additionally, if a person has a medical exemption or a clinical trial exemption, they will require as of Jan 10, 2022 a certificate with a QR code, which means doctor’s notes will no longer be accepted.
